The Bertoni Eyewear 2009 Collection is divided in 10 different lines, and it includes technical eyewear for specific sports like car and motorbike racing, cycling, free flying, sailing, skiing, golf and many others. All the models have the highest standards in terms of quality, resistance and visual comfort. They are also ideal for your free time. Bertoni eyewear are made respecting the CE regulations and take particular care in the quality and in the choice of their lenses. Our lines are: Drive (for driving), Aluminium (aluminium frame), Photochromic (photochromic lenses), Polarized (Polarized lenses), Antireflection (anti-reflction treatment), Antifog (anti-fog treatment), Freetime (fashionable and tendy glasses) and Mask (mask/goggles), this year we have added two new lines: Dynamic Titanium, with the innovative titanium frame and Nylon, with both frame and lenses in nylon.

DYNAMIC TITANIUM

New line of glasses with frame made in Dynamic Titanium™ are light in weight, unbreakable and extremely flexible. Differently from other glasses, the Dynamic Titanium have been studied to be worn under a helmet with short and straight frame arms to make things easy when putting on through the helmet’s opening. Always maintaining the "made in Italy" taste and design. The Titanium is unbreakable and does not fade in colour making these glasses eternal.

SOFT

The new Grilamid® nylon frames line has FRP® lenses by Visual Optical. The material is completely flexible, comfortable and guarantees the best safety in case of an impact, allowing you to be careless when handling these glasses with no risk of them breaking. Thanks to a “memory” which keeps its shape, they can be bent in any direction and always go back to their original shape. This is an important characteristic which allows you to wear they under a helmet.

PHOTOCHROMIC

This line has Photochromic anti-fog lenses which change colour intensity automatically depending on the UV light, guaranteeing an excellent visual performance. The photochromic lenses protect the eyes when out in the sun or in any weather condition. Plus the lens are treated with a special resin which removes the condensation which forms on the surface of the lens when passing from hot to cold. The lens can change colour in only 8 seconds when passing from light to dark, and 35 seconds when passing from dark back to its light colour. The frame of this line is in nylon so they will never change shape and are highly resistant to impacts.

DRIVE

These glasses have a kit of 3 Drive lenses. The “Drive” lenses are ideal for driving during the day because they guarantees an excellent contrast of colours and reduces the dazzle effect of the sun, dimming the blue colours, so each colour can be seen at its best. This way you have a surprising contrast effect but at the same time it relaxes your sight, particularly when driving through fog, tunnels or at sunset. This type of lens is well appreciate by pilots and professional drivers, who even after long hours driving, do not strain their eyes thanks to the unique colour of the lenses. The Drive lens is in polycarbonate material it is unbreakable, highly resistant to impacts and extremely light in weight. Both sides have been treated with anti-reflex, anti-scratch and are waterproof.

ALUMINUM

The glasses from this line have an aluminium/magnesium frame. They do not deform, are resistant and very light. The frame arms have a new system called “spring hinge” which allows the maximum flexibility and this way the frame arms do not close against the lenses. The hinge is perfectly integrated into the frame and so it is practically invisible. The lenses are in polycarbonate with a high resistance to impacts.

POLARIZED

Many surfaces reflect the sun’s rays just like a mirror (so do windows, water surfaces and snow), amplifying the intensity. It is necessary in these conditions to protect your eyes against this glare. The polarised lenses of the glasses of this line are the perfect solution to this problem: they cut out the excess light. The light of the day travels in all directions instead the polarised light travels in two directions: horizontally and vertically. The vertical light brings information to the eye, making it possible to see colours and contrast, while the horizontal light is the one with which we see glare. The polarised lenses are the only which can block out the horizontal polarised light, acting like a filter and making our eyes absorb only the best light. Plus, the polarised lens technology intensifies the contrasts improving the perception of colours, this is great for driving safely but relaxing the eye.

ANTI REFLECTION

The anti-reflection treatment on the lenses of this line make these glasses excellent for driving, guaranteeing safety and comfort day and night: the images are see well because the glare of the daylight and the blinding overhead light of other cars are eliminated; enhancing the brightness when there is poor lighting and more importantly, protects the eye from the reflections. The Antireflection line lenses are characterised by a particular treatment called flash-mirror: it gives a slight external mirror look. This is done by plunging the lens into a special substance which protects it from scratches and enhances its capability to reflect the sun’s rays. The lenses have an external curve on the side of the lens gives a more open view and without distortions.

ANTIFOG

The Antifog line all have lenses treated with a special resin which removes the condensation which forms on the surface of the lens when passing from hot to cold. This enables to always have a perfect vision. Light, impact resistant and with an excellent grip these glasses are also non-sweat. The Antifog line have frames and lenses in polycarbonate and can satisfy any style.

FREETIME

The FreeTime collection of sport eyewear has a series of "fashionable" models. The line includes male, female and unisex models, all in different colours and suitable for free time activities as well as motorbike and bike riding, parachuting and all other types of sport. All the glasses of this line have an elevated resistance to impacts, an excellent adhesion to the face and are wind proof.

GOGGLES

The mask frames of this line are all certified under the rigorous CE and US standards. The polyurethane with which they are made, guarantee the maximum flexibility also at low temperatures. They have two “air vents” positioned in the frame which make air pass to ventilate the mask and acting like an anti-fog. The elastic is adjustable and has a part in silicone so the mask will not slip off when using in combination with a helmet. The masks are available in several colours, all made with non-allergenic materials. They have been made to resist in bad weather conditions and are always comfortable. The lenses are treated with a non-fog film, they are in polycarbonate of 2.4mm which guarantee an elevated protection to impacts and at the same time protect 100% against UVA and UVB rays. They are available in 5 different types of lenses: a “transparent” lens which give the maximum visibility in all weather conditions; the “yellow mirror look” lenses to use in low visual conditions; the “smoky mirror look” lenses to reduce the glare; the “drive” lenses perfect in poor light conditions; the “double” lens in polycarbonate, these lenses are separated by an internal air layer which created a thermal barrier to keep the lenses warm and dry. In addition you can add 10 “tear off” protective films to attach and remove when necessary.
